In my last few months of coaching sessions and in my learning from great business leaders, a common topic is surfacing. This topic is that of thinking.
I see leaders who are not placing a high value on the discipline of thinking. Team members who don’t spend enough time thinking through a proposal or a possible strategy. Managers who are not taking time to think about the ramifications of a new launch or how to improve an old product or service.
Leading today is more challenging than in years past. There is more coming at us each and every second. We must be excellent at setting boundaries for ourselves or we can get sucked into the email or social networking vacuum.
