   Thanks, Daniel. for a thought-provoking post. I have had an oppor­tu­nity to take the long view in my job and my mar­riage, but hadn’t thought about it in rela­tion to my youngest daugther. We have been hav­ing con­flict about her future–she’s twenty–but I never thought about tak­ing the long view. I’m going to con­sider what I want our rela­tion­ship to look like in five years and deal with her in that con­text. Hope­fully that will ease some of the strife. Thanks again!
